Sandy

This has been a very popular addition to the area, especially with the Happy Hour menu. I'll have to try the seafood cioppino!

Peter

That cioppino looks great, Cathy -- would make the trek there just to try that. And the prices seem very reasonable for what you get.

Soo

There is a sister restaurant in Del Mar. https://www.seasurffishco.com/

I like the fish and chips there.

Som Tommy

The cioppino looks great

kat

looks great

It's really a great addition to the 'inland', Sandy. Happy Hour is tempting, but lately traffic is just so frustrating to me.

You'd really like it, Peter. Maybe you could venture out on a weekend.

Seasurf does have similar pricing, Soo, but no Cioppino on its menu. We liked it https://mmm-yoso.typepad.com/mmmyoso/2019/05/seasurf-fish-co-del-mar.html

The cioppino was very good quality, ST.

This was a nice find for us, kat. We do enjoy seafood.

Dereck

That looks great and I can grab a shave ice for dessert!

Cathy

It really is great, Dereck. That mall has many good choices available.

Kha

Been a while since I commented. Just tried this place on Sunday. They have happy hour daily so if you don’t want to fight traffic come on a weekend. We ordered off the HH menu.

We had grilled fish tacos, oysters (3 types), chowder fries, lemon pepper wings, clams with chorizo and some sort of tomato broth, and Korean chili glazed shishito peppers.

Out of all those things we tried we liked the oysters at $1.50 each, the shishitos and we were split on the clams. The wings were okay, a little on the small side and were fine flavor wise but not the juiciest. The fries they use are similar to McDonalds fries. We wouldn’t recommend the grilled fish tacos. Maybe their fried fish tacos are better.

Solid value but most of the items we ordered were average.

Cathy

Well, HH doesn't seem the way to go, Kha. The Mister was raised in Boston, so his seafood preferences go toward steamed clams, clam chowder, basic fish & chips (as well as the locally/Boston available baked scrod and twin lobster). But since it is available on the weekend, we might be trying some of the HH menu. {You are welcome to this side of the blog anytime (I see you last commented 13 months ago).}
