Wow, that is a long wait. Food courts in Asia are a so different (and usually better) than US ones. The Taipei 101 food court/market had a vendor with pretty good pineapple cakes, but I don't rememberthe name. Up to then, I was never a fan of pineapple cakes, mostly because I hadn't tasted a good one.

I guess so Kat!

I think it might be Sunny Hills Sandy. Personally, I'm not a fan of pineapple cake.

We were in Taiwan last week for the first time. We liked the Tu-Tu pineapple cake found in Jiufen. We did go to Din Tai Fung at 101 and it was good, not great. It is quite an operation, though. So many customers and robots and dumplings. A real experience. The observation floor did not have very good visibility but glad we went.
We are also hooked on the nougat cracker sandwich and need to find a US source.

We really enjoyed the DTF Xinyi location Jeff! I'll post something if I find a comparable green onion nougat. Have tried a couple brands we've found in the SGV, but nothing compares.
