junk rice, bummer

It would have been so good if they had gotten the rice right Kat!

I had heard about Chung Hing's char siu from a friend, but didn't realize it had high yelp reviews. Maybe one of these days, I'll make an effort to stop by. I haven't been to Tenkatori in awhile; I usually just get chicken to go. You would think that there would be no issues when rice is cooked in a rice cooker.

Thanks for the link. I love the bbq pork and chow mein at Chung Hing.

Bummer about the rice at Tenkatori. Their chicken is spot on tho. Pairs nicely with beer!

Yeah, those high "reviews" are a bit of a head-scratcher Sandy!

Not a big fan of anything else but the char siu there Soo!

I'm hoping that it was just a one time rice malfunction Junichi! And yes, their chicken is really good.

I’ve been eating at Chung Hing for probably 25+ years and all business woman won’t even crack a smile for me. I do enjoy the #1 for an unhealthy but satisfying lunch fix every now and again, cardboard wontons and all!

Lol Stephanie! Even after over 25+ years, huh? That's hardcore! ;o) We all need our guilty pleasures from time to time!
