I didn't know that the owners of Minh Ky own Dumpling Inn also. I like taking out-of-town guests to Dumpling Inn due to its quite unique interior. The parking leaves much to be desired, but maybe one day we will have a trolley line running down Convoy and remove that parking need..

Thanks for the shoutout! I'll miss Quoc Te's fried rice.

Paris Bakery expanded to Chula Vista now as "Banh Mi Paris Express" according to their Facebook/Instagram. It's nice to see local shops grow.

Junichi

Hopefully the new owners retain the cooks. I love the white menudo from Guadalajara.

Hi Dereck - I know they are putting in bike lanes along Convoy and there is going to be a loss of 288 parking spaces!

So that's not going to help things. I don't think there are plans to enhance public transport in the area either.

Thanks again for thinking of us Elle! We appreciate it!

I hope so Junichi! I think Minh Ky is going to close for renovations as well.

Also didn't realize the owners of Minh Ky also own Dumpling Inn. My wife and I usually make a trek every month to Shanghai Saloon for a Hong Kong Punch, immediately followed by a visit to either Yasai or Green China Grill (aka Lanzhou Noodlelicious...). Hope the new owners of Minh Ky keep the quality high.

Interesting, the birrieria place opened in Escondido a while back but quickly transitioned to Birrieria ay Jalisco. Thanks for the updates!

Kirk

I'm hoping the Minh Ky will be just as good when I visit the next time Peter!

That's interesting RD! I'm hoping they do well in this location.
