I'm glad you enjoyed the whole trip! Mancos used to have a new Mexican restaurant that made mmm yoso delishisoso stuffies which were out of this world and made of a tortilla sized sopapillas stuffed with beef and beans then covered in green chili, cheese and all the fixings. It closed unfortunately, but I did ask my Aunt in the area to verify.

Mesa Verde holds a close place near my heart, as I spent a bunch of time there and helped put in a water line from Cortez all the way up to the mesa.

I remember you mentioning working on putting in that water line Dereck! That's unreal! Thanks again for all your help with planning our trip!

It was Kat!

Hello from colorful Colorado! I live in Mancos & loved your post about this area. Zuma Natural Foods is a community favorite, too. I'm the artist that painted the posts, fences and arch. I'm repainting the hippie van this spring. Stop back next time you are in the area. Thank you for spreading the word about our sweet spot under the canopy of Mesa Verde National Park.

Hi Lille Diane! We loved the friendly folks in Mancos and think Zuma is a treasure. We'll be sure to stop by again when we're in the area. Thanks for taking the time out to comment!
