bummer you were too early for dem bones

Hi Kirk,
I am not sure on the timing but heard on Next Door that the embarrassing Chinese restaurant "Taste of Mandarin" on Tierrasanta Blvd is closing and will be replaced with a new Vietnamese restaurant. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully next time Kat!

That's awesome news Laurie! Thanks so much for letting me know, I really appreciate it!

Som Tommy

Too bad they didn’t have the beef ribs

Hopefully I can time it right on my next visit ST!

Thanks for reminding me of this place. I used to order the nem nuong here in a big tray.

Yeah found that out myself (regarding the ribs) about a month ago as I’ve been on the lookout for Pho with ribs, and I remember your old posts about this place. Even more frustrating was I was there around 11:30am but still too early.

The only real good place I’ve found beef rib Pho is Pho Ca Dao in Mission Valley and they give you a brontosaurus-size beef rib with the Royal Pho

I had almost forgotten about the nem nuong too TFD!

Well, I need to check that out Denver!

I'm glad that my noodles seem to be a one off. I did find the meats to be quite good also though and maybe I just had an off day.

Well, the noodles were still too "mushy" for my taste Dereck. And of course, not having those beef ribs were a bummer.
