I definitely think that the bamboo has changed, Kirk! I remember it being the dried kind (more brown) and now it has the yellow color that makes me think it’s canned. The duck and dipping sauce is still very good though.

Isn't it great that we have these small family businesses where we can support each other? I try and visit my 'hood restaurants as often as I can but as I ahem, "mature", I don't eat as many noodles or rice as I used to!

By Golly you're right An! I'd always leave the bamboo shoots in the broth until the end so didn't readily notice. Good catch!

I love the small family owned businesses Jack! They really have an attachment to the community. Talk to me about being....I'm not sure the word "mature" will ever be used for me....Lol! But I definitely can't put it away like I used to!
