Loren

When it comes to cold weather I love to go to DZ Akins and get Vegetable Barley soup (maybe Mushroom Barley if I'm feeling pro fungus) which is thick, comforting and guaranteed to warm you up. I do like Curry ramen as well but haven't been eating that lately.

If we're talking a main course, a good boeuf bourguignon or a braised short ribs, but after trying it some places I find myself like Thanos in a post credit scene warily saying "Fine, I'll do it myself." and I do have a good recipe for it.

Kirk

Sounds great Loren! Good to hear from you as always. Take care!

Sandy

I'm planning to make chicken pho and beef pho. Recently we had takeout bun bo hue. And it may be time for oxtail soup as well.

Kirk

Oh my Oxtail soup sounds so good right now Sandy! Hope all is well!

Jason

I agree Woomiok does great for takeout, the only thing I miss is that they don't give you all the different panchans for takeout. We really like the fermented squid one that you get when dining in.

Kirk

Yes, now that you mention that Jason....though we've been happy with the rest of what we got. Hope all is well.

Lynnea Fleming

That soup really does look good! I was thinking of trying Woomiok for my birthday next month since we so rarely eat meat these days, I thought it could be a good excuse to finally try it out ^_^

Joy

That sounds delicious and looks like quite a mise en place!

kat

glad you are getting some soup weather! we’ve been eating oden and different types of hot pot

Kirk

I hope you enjoy Woomiok if you check them out Lynnea! Happy Birthday in advance!

If you enjoy bone soup, this is a good option Joy!

Yes, after all those hot days Kat!
