They had hotaruika at Hinotez last week too! Had both the grilled and raw versions. When I was in Fukui 2 years ago I had a tempura version that was divine.

I have yet to try Taisho (sigh). I noticed again their sign that says for non-sake drinking customers to visit their sister location. I'm curious about the firefly squid. We saw it on the specials menu board when we tried out Boto in Del Mar.
