So many food choices... Next year I'm gonna try going 2 days so I can eat more. Thanks for all the food photos to tempt me with!

Great fair post! I wish I had tried the eggplant sandwich at Roxie's. We had the slider duo at the Paddock (which was really good, thanks for the tip). The fried apples looked delicious as well.

I think next year's theme will be more "fun" for folks to dress up. Not everyone was into steampunk, although it was a pretty creative pairup.

Thanks, Soo. Remember that you get a ticket for entry when you enter a competitive exhibit (those will be listed online beginning in February) and that you also get in free by entering a daily contest in Home and Hobby(I'll put a link in when I do my 'before the Fair opens' post). You could win a prize or ribbon and be on the Fairgrounds another day to get to try many more new and exciting foods!

I did try to do a little bit of a different group of postings about the Fair this year, cc, just wanting to stress how much there is to see and do without being overwhelming. There are many 'healthier' and different food choices available and you just have to look past the eye level listings(the eggplant sandwich was listed on a paper taped to the booth window at Roxy's, not on the main menu). The decadent apple purchases were each wonderful and I justified each as having my piece of fruit for that day! I can't wait for 2017 and the next Fair!
