Never a fan of scones but your description and the freshness makes it sound tempting.

Faye

I'm usually not a fan of scones but would visit this place just to try them out with their butters. Does one scone come with one complimentary butter?

Cathy

Ah, I did not stress that the freshness of the scones was because they also were warm, Bill. Not very large, but extreme high quality. I do think that makes a difference; I've had stale scones and those are disappointing.

You will like the scones, Faye. Looking at the menu, it seems they charge 50¢ per butter...and no plain butter is offered (that would be my choice). Then again, it is still in its soft opening, so things may change.
ALSO- this weekend is La Mesa's Oktoberfest. There's no parking anywhere near La Mesa Boulevard from Thursday-Sunday, so be warned.

I'm glad that we checked this place out . Our barista was super nice. The scone was really good and I normally don't like scones. It was cool that they had a choice of butters as well. My favorites were the blueberry tea and the guava.

It seems well thought through - all the squares. Good report.
