There doesn't seem to be any anything happening (yet, I hope)for the former Vons/Haggens on Telegraph in CV. It is still boarded upm So far, no signs for Ranch 99.

Soo @hungryones.com

Thanks for the updates! I'll have to try the new Ranch 99 when they open.

Faye

Do Re Mi closing?!! Nooooo. It was a shock to see Dede's go too. Thanks for the update o the possible new ownership for Dede's. Submarine Crab sounds interesting - wonder how they'll compete in this area that has quite a few crawfish spots.

Lynn @ Oh-So Yummy

omg do re mi closed? it used to be one of our fav places but haven't been in a few months. never tried Dede's or convoy noodle house so I guess I never will... :-/

Kirk

Hey CC - Someone mentioned that becoming Carnival Market.....so I'm not so sure about that locations anymore.

I'm quite curious too Soo.

Hi Faye - Make that Do Re Mi has closed.

Kind of sad to see these places; all of them with over a decade in the neighborhood close Kat.

Yes; I was a bit surprised Lynn.

Caninecologne

Interesting. A Carnival Market sign is already up on the old Haggens on 3rd and L.

Kirk

Yeah, a friend of mine mentioned about 99 Ranch switching or womething...so we'll see.

Rick

We were just at Do Re Mi on 7/9 so they closed only a few days later. Yikes!

Sandy

I saw the job fair signs at 99 Ranch in late June (I also hadn't been there in awhile). I think the real question is whether they will keep the Clairemont Mesa store open.

Kirk

Hi Rick - Yes, it was quite a surprise.

Hey Sandy - From what I heard, I think they are....in some fashion.

Jim Gottlieb

I happened to run into the old owners of Dede's yesterday, dining at Shan Xi Magic Kitchen. The wife tells me they're taking a break for a while, but eventually they plan to open a new restaurant in the Mira Mesa area.

Kirk

Well Jim - I hope they have a nice break, then come back refreshed. The food at Dede's seemed a bit tired and lackluster over the last year or so there.
