kat

will be interesting to see the kind of poke they serve

Sandy

Crab Hut must be doing well to open another location. The Boiling Crab down the street seems to be gone, but the sign is still up.

I haven't been to this mall in awhile, but I look forward to trying Pokeland. It looks like replaced Edelweiss Bakery?

Kirk

It will Kat. I've been somewhat underwhelmed with what's available here.

According to JanFredrick, it used to be some kind of Vape shop Sandy.

Soo @ hungryones

I never liked Mandarin Garden. Do you know what happened to them?

Junichi

Ah Mandarin Garden. Brings back memories. Used to go there growing up on special family occasions. Always the same people working. I was devastated when the owners sold the place a while back. The mall was pretty dead back then. Can't image how bad it is now.

Kirk

Hi Soo - I believe the chef went to Chef Chin's a while back, but not sure about the rest.

Hi Junichi - Funny, when I was growing up, Chinese food was a special occasion treat...I still remember the place we used to go to on those special days. It was pretty depressing; other than L&L.

ooh nice preview of the market hall! they are doing San Diego burger week ($5 burger) so I was curious what the place looked like!

I hope crab hut does better than its predecessors in that mira mesa mall location!

Kirk

Hi Lynn - I'll look forward to your post on that burger....if it's good, I might have a reason to drive (and find parking) down there!
