Junichi

Izakaya Naruto just opened in the former Kaga Sushi spot in Chula Vista.

Thanks for the great updates (long-time reader, first time commenter). I'm curious about the new Izakaya and how it might differ from Tajima (the pics on the Yelp listing give off a similar feel).

Also, not sure if you have already mentioned that Nolbu on Convoy changed to SOHO Gastropub but it's still Korean food and I believe the same owners. I heard they remodeled too, but I haven't been in lately to check it out.

Hey Junichi - So the Kaga folks have finally retired, huh? I'll go ccheck it out. Let me know how it is if you get there before me.

Hi N - I did notice that the Nolbu folks expanded next door and changed their name. Thanks for reading and taking the time out to comment. I'll try and check out Izakaya 52.....

Yea Sho-san finally found a buyer. He was almost 80 so a well deserved retirement. A quick glance at the menu looks more like a sushi bar but I won't judge until I check them out.

Sho-san's back! The owner of Utage convinced him to come out of retirement. He's making sushi for them now.

Thanks for the update Junichi!
