hiroshima style is lighter because of the crepe & cabbage, osaka style is bit more heavy because everything is mixed in with the batter. I like both styles with noodles in them:)

Hi Kat - Strangely, I thought the Osaka style we had was lighter, which had to do with the batter. Glad you love those noodles; it's a bit too much for me though! The stuff I've had in the states is much too doughy....

we liked osaka style okonomiyaki better than hiroshima style, but to be perfectly honest, we didn't eat a single bad meal in Japan! all the food was so wonderful!!

We do too Lynnea! You'd have to have some pretty bad luck to find terrible food in Japan.

dang that is a lot of negi! noodles and crepes and dough, oh my!

Total carb overload FH....and yet, folks there are so thin! We joked that scallions = Japan's version of iceberg lettuce!
