Jason

kat

enjoyed your first impressions

Kirk

Thanks for reading Jason. I know it's kind of a wordy post.

Thanks Kat!

James

We love Tokyo - it's overwhelming but quite a rush. Were you staying with friends/family or did you use a service like VRBO for your apartments?

Kirk

Hi James - We used a service and did a bit of research on areas and such.

What a great post! I like that you stayed in apartments instead of hotels. It's much better I think, to stay in actual neighborhoods rather than the sterility of a hotel. Liked the "blurry" shot of those neon lights! I can't even imagine how overwhelming Tokyo would be for me.

Kirk

Hi CC - We really do prefer to stay in apartments, it gives us insight into how folks live.

Lynnea

seems like a totally spot on review of a first day in tokyo :D i'm loving your japan posts! and i know I keep saying this, but your posts are just bringing back such happy memories of visiting Japan!!

Kirk

Hi Lynnea - I'm glad these posts can bring back nice memories!
