Ricky

I used to have the Pho at Pho Convoy all the time - not horrendous by any means, and decent enough, and in my opinion it's a lot better than a lot of the other places in the area where they really don't give you any meat (gotta have my meat).

But *then* I discovered Pho Lucky (thanks to your blog).... oh yeah... :)

Kirk

Hi Ricky - You know, Convoy Noodle House used to be pretty good; but I dunno what happened over the last 2 years or so. If you like meat, maybe you should check out Cow Cali? Broth is not as good as Lucky, but the protein, other than tendon and tripe is better. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you're able to get something out of our blog.

I have been kind of stuck on the bun rieu at Mien Trung. I think it has helped that the tomatoes were in season.

When it gets cold out, we also love to warm up with a bowl of noodle soup. Whether it's pho, bo kho (Vietnamese beef stew), or ramen -- it always hits the spot!

Kirk

Nothing wrong with that Jan! Sounds delish!

Hi Christine - I like Bo Kho when I'm feeling a bit tired....nice and comforting.

Jenne

Glad it's not just us! We finally got around to Convoy Noodle House for the blog (we used to go all the time, but haven't for a while) and we thought the same thing, that it was much worse than it used to be. Sad.

Kirk

Hi Jenne - They seem to have been on a slow descent over the last couple of years.
