San Marcos Bryan

Spent three wonderful weeks in Portugal last summer and also passed through Coimbra and Evora. Don't skip the Algarve - Tavira is great. Really, really love Portugal. Actually prefer it to Spain. Thanks for the post - Brings back great memories.

exciting! can't wait to hear & see more.

Gorgeous photos Kirk! Glad you and the Missus are having a good time! I'm curious about that last photo!

I like Porto, partly because it has such a different vibe; less frantic and fewer people. I've also had better and more importantly, consistently good pastries in Porto compared to in Lisbon too.

By the way, your earlier photo of the pasteis de nata; it didn't look like the typical flakey/chewy/puff pastry case. Do my eyes deceive me?
I would've thought the default nata stop would've been for the flakey ones at Belem on the way to the Monument of Discoveries.

Hi SMB - We really have to return to Portugal. What time we spent there was much too short.

Hi Kat - I think you'll enjoy Portugal.

Hi CC - That's Percebes, really good stuff.

Hi Peter - You'd be correct. That was from the "Chinese" bakery, which was the least satisfying. Loved the Pastel de Belem.......from you know where....
