Great round up of the soups and stews! I'd like to try that chicken curry at K Sandwiches next time I'm in the area! It's good to try something different instead of the same old sandwich.

That curry looks good. Sometime I don't care much for the meat, but just the broth, the potatoes and bread. I've been craving lots of carb lately.

Yah, that's why this is is one of my favorite times of the year. Been hanging out at Mien Trung quite a bit lately.

Thanks, cc. You'll like the K-Sandwich version. Lucky Pho (and most other pho places) also have a chicken curry (kari ga) usually listed next to the bo kho on the menu, although I noticed a few will only make curry on certain days of the week.
I understand, yy. Sometimes I just want the broth/curry sauce...the flavor is so different.
Absolutely my favorite time too, JF. I didn't even know it was so hot outside yesterday (the house keeps a chill) and I made curry at home for lunch-so comforting. Mien Trung is so close to K:must drop in soon.

Cathy - if you go to mien trung, try their Mi Quang (turmeric noodles w/pork & shrimp). So good!

Man, I gotta go get some Banh Mi Bo Kho now....

The seafood tofu egg drop soup looks killer! I'd definitely want to try that sometime.

I've become enamored with turmeric lately, cc. Thanks for the recommendation!
The Bahn Mi Bo Kho is really the best at Lucky, Kirk. I was going to do a comparison post of Bo Kho and had so many bad versions, decided it best not to say anything.
Do try it Mary...from the regular (big) menu. It satisfied before shopping and was very, very good.
