kat

all sorts of stuff at the airport these days!

Sandy

I don't travel enough to have long layovers (which is probably a good thing) but I tend to go with fast food airport food. It's less of a crapshoot sometimes.

That brisket does look tasty. The duck salad seems OK from the picture and your description, but now I'm waiting for some poor Ramsey participant to yell back, "How can you say that, I've eaten at your restaurant in Heathrow?"

Kirk

There sure is Kat!

Hi Sandy - I dunno, I've had abyssmal food at fast food joints in aiports.

Hi Ed - That would be funny.....

Recently we had to fly internationally on BA and knowing that their meals are all but inedible we decided to buy a packed picnic meal from Plane Food. The food was nothing short of a disgrace. The Caesar salad consisted of chunks if lettuce, brown at the edges, a lonely single anchovy, a few croutons and no sign whatsoever of the advertised soft boiled egg. The main of smoked salmon had plenty of unpleasantly oily dark bits of salmon, a heap of undressed rocket and small bowl of apple and celery , dressed, judging from the complete lack of any taste, with milk. The cheese plate consisted of three generous wedges of cheese but alas, with three and one half biscuits. From the appearance of the half, I would say the packer got hungry and bit it off

All in all a toss up whether this was worse than BA food or not. Don't waste your money.

Kirk

That sounds terrible Marie. I'd be embarassed to have my name on the place. You know, my wife had a decent meal on BA, I ordered a Hindu vegetarian meal that was way better than the lousy stuff I had.
