Loved the pics. Delphi certainly seems a numinous spot - very special. Sometimes we forget things like theater, realistic sculpture, etc that we got from those ancient Greeks. Thanks for sharing.

kat

wow! those ruins were fabulous!

If I am not mistaken, in the first photo the yellowing flowers at the base of the mountain are a stand of wild fennel- the pollen is a fragrant seasoning

this is not sparta, this ..is....

MMMMYOSO!!!!!!!!

Kirk

Hi Ed - The surrounding area is quite beautiful......it's amazing to walk on the same paths as so many have centuries ago.

Hi Kat - They were very nice and surroundings dramatic.

LOL Grey......I am lost!

Sorry Kirk it was an allusion to the movie 300, since you were at the sight where Leonidas famously kicks the villain into a huge bottomless pit after yelling "this..is...Sparta!!" It kind of made me think of you kicking a plateful of boring, uninspired food to the bottom of the pit after making your own war cry :)))

Kirk

LOL Grey! For some reason I have a hard time picturing me doing that.

Lynnea

Kirk, those photos are beautiful!! love, love, love the two photos at the top, but especially that second one down! really stunning!

Kirk

Hi Lynnea - I'm glad you like the photos. There are places that seem to be made for photos and Delphi is one of them.
