It could be that we're just missing Turkey.......but it's more probable that the food here is pretty darn good. It's now, along with Sakura just about a weekly stop. To the point that we know when the lavas is going to be good (there's a young man you really knows how to make it) and when the kebabs are going to be very tasty (when the owner is at the grill). Not much else to say that I haven't said in one of my previous posts. So here's a COMC (Clearing Out the Memory Card) post for a lazy Monday.
On one occasion we couldn't believe how busy the place was. And everyone seemed to be eating tons of food. During that evening, the rice that came with the Kuzu Incik (the lamb shank dish pictured above) was covered with tasty stewed white beans. When I noted how busy the place was, the owner's daughter told us, "yes, it's Ramadan." Duh, I should have known.
It is of course:
Sultan Kebab & Baklava

Hope you had a great Monday!
everything looks so good, again, love your comc posts!

Kirk,
that looks amazing. I loved your last post, too. I'm thinking about Mediterranean food, so I might blend up some chickpeas for Hummus and go harvest some grape leaves for dolmos. Thanks for the great pics and stories.

Thanks Jeff! I hope all is well. Sultan does a pretty good job with Turkish food, something we've been missing....
