Saya

I got my pestle but not the mortar (it was too expensive) So, I use the mixing bowl instead. But, I made a delicious Som Tum. :)

Hannah

Awesome, thanks for the Okan update. I have never had nabemono before, but I like grilled dishes like gyutan... I can't wait to try some new food...!

Dennis

Hi Kirk, did you try the kamo soba at okan? I saw their ad with it and was tempted. Nabe at the new place sounds great. My guess then would be they won't be open for lunch.. :(

Kirk

Hi Saya - I hope you find a good, and reasonably priced mortar soon!

Hi Hannah - An April opening sounds a bit ambitious, but it'll be nice to have more variety i town.

Hi Dennis - No haven't tried that yet. When I was told it was going to be a Nabe place, I had the exact same thought.....

Gotta keep that cholesterol in check!

The Office Goat

What a coincidence, today I'm having oatmeal for lunch for only the second time in three weeks, and I just saw this post.
It's like someone's watching me ... Quick Kirk, how many fingers am I holding up?

Judy Lee

OATMEAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!! lolololol :)

Saint

Okan just put a section for Oton (the new restaurant's name) up on their website, so more info should be coming along soon. Yeah it won't be a lunch place.

Kirk

Hi Jan - Yes....you must!

Hi FH - Love it....we've actually eaten there. The Missus loves soy milk(or porridge) and youtiao for breakfast.

Hi ToG - LOL! Are trying to trick me? Goat's don't have fingers! he-he-he....

Hi Judy - The one and only oatmeal eater!

Hi Saint - I wish they'd complete the English seection of the website.
