I was just at this market, and noticed the sign for Yum Cha Cafe. I'm disappointed that the bakery operation is no longer there, but I can be consoled with good dim sum.

I didn't look at the seafood section, but the produce had some very good prices. I also wondered if it was due to the grand opening.

Hi Sandy - Those prices were really good.... I'll need to check back in a few months.

Kirk,

Thanks for the news! I went to check out Thuan Phat today... definately better than the old Vien Dong. I'm looking forward to the Yum Cha restaurant as well!

I recorded a little video while I was there too: http://yelloww.net/blog/2008/12/thuan-phat-supermarket-grand-opening-in-linda-vista/

P.S. I love your blog... I've had lot's of good food because of you :)

Kirk

Hi Chris - Nice vlog! I'm really looking forward to Yum Cha Cafe as well.

Thuan Phat is GREAT! They have an entire freezer section of vegetarian food for prices much lower than the Henry's I normally go to on Genessee.
