kat

does that mean you need to ration your beer lao for a bit??

That Vietnamese owner sounds like a "Jack of All Trades," especially of Chinese food! Do you think that the Boyz would mind standing in line for rice on the Mmm-Yoso!! family's behalf?

Jenne

Wow, an Asian market in my neighborhood!! Fabu-loso!
I didn't realize that Rancho's (or whatever it was called) had closed.

Maybe we can get a Daiso to go in where the Big Lots used to be, and then my life will be perfect!

Hi Kat - Bad thing is.... I'm out of Beer Lao.... oh, the withdrawal pains are coming on!

Hi PE - Da' Boyz? Stand in line? I'd like to see that happen! ;o)

Hi Jenne - I think they'd have to open a Marukai right next door...not that I think you'd complain about that.

I too am pleasantly surprised to see 97 Market relocating to Ranchos Market's old space. A whole new flavor for that area (so to speak). Now if they'd only take over Ranchos Cocina's space next door and open a restaurant ... :-)

Kirk

Hi Mizducky - Yes, it will be a change for the neighborhood!

I read your review of the Village Market on 30th and visited them this morning. I didn't know what was happening at first because the store was open for business but there was no meats or produce. After a few minutes I figured out that they were selling everything at 50% off because the store is going to be closed in a week. Lucky for my son and his Thai wife that I invited them along as they filled a few baskets with the bargains we found.

Hi Barry - Wow, that was quick. I did think the choice of location was a rather odd one.
