Christine D.

Welcome back! So many dishes, fruits, and critters that I've never seen before that you've encountered. Looks like you and the Missus did a lot over there. K, get some more rest!

Hey Kirk,
I wish we would've had time to see Laos too, but it looks like that could be the next big trip. I am very interested to see what you found in Chiang Mai because if it weren't for the night market (and I agree, definitely not the bazaar) and a festival that we stumbled upon, it was not easy to find non-touristy food.

Hi Christine - Thanks, it's great to be back.

Hi PRR - We had to look kinda hard for stuff other than street food...which was pretty good. We stayed within the old city, so was lucky to be away from many of the tourists. We found the South Gate night market to have decent eats as well.

Welcome back Mr. K.. Sounds like you had a great trip. I am so jealous.

welcome back Kirk! The pictures are great, everything looks so delicious. I especially can't wait to hear about that degustation menu.

Hi Beach - Laos was should plan on visiting soon!

Hi Penny - Thanks, it's good to be home!

Welcome back Kirk! Love the photos, and I look forward to hearing more tales. I'm curious--are those yellow disks in one photo banana crackers? They look just like some I recently found in an Asian market. It took me a while to figure out how to toast them in a preheated oven, so they crisp up evenly. Boy, are they good!

Hi Amy - I was told those were Papadoms.
