I think you did a pretty good job of summarizing things. Maybe you could use bighugelabs.com to make a collage of photos and then add some of your adventures to it? Can't wait to hear more about your adventures :)

RONW

seems like a quick visit. I'm sure it all went fast for you folks too.

foodhoe

Wow, welcome back and while quick, it sounds like you guys packed it in! Can't wait to read about it...

howie

Welcome back, Kirk! I can't wait to hear about that Laotian tasting menu!

ed (from Yuma)

Great to have you back. I'm salivating already. Wonderful pics. I'm eager for more. Hi to the missus also.

caninecologne

welcome back! your pictures are amazing - i'm wondering what that animal was in that container! can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Dennis

Welcome back Kirk. Looking forward to read more about your vacation!

Marie

I love that you enjoyed Luang Prabang so much, you extended your stay there! What a wonderfully improvisational way to travel. Can't wait to read more about your trip. :)

Logovo

So great to have you back! And with wonderful food adventures! YAY!

Cathy

I have so wanted to see photos of the foods you told me about. Thanks for the river moss one. I had pictured it in more of a slimy, not pretty way. I want to hear about the cooking school and that special dinner. The Mister just said "street food-post about it. Show pictures."

Carol

Here's how it went when I was reading the post..."Cool! Wow that looks interesting! Hey, that looks delicious. Great pictures. Would like to try that. Uh...what is that? Uh, ew...is that what I think it is? Whew, back to normal, sort of. Hehe, Can't wait to see the next post."

Welcome back!

Tammy

We miss you!!!...well, it's only me since Chia is gone too.

How do I know you were going to blog today....? I've been reading your blog religiously since you left. Cathy has been really good at keep up with the mmmyoso blog. She even gave me tips on good rolls! Anyhow, you pictures are great! I'm so jealous of you though!!! *shaking my fist* I found out that I don't have to teach during intersession this year so I'm going to have 3 different vacations. Do you have any good places that you can recommend?

Wandering Chopsticks

Welcome back Kirk! Everything looks so fabulous. I can't wait to see what you have to say about it all. Especially, Laos, that's definitely been on one of my lists of places I want to go to some day.

Su-Lin

Welcome back! I can't wait to find out what that green thing is in your hand!

Kirk

Hi Kat - Thanks for the idea!

Hi RONW - Time sure did fly by.

Hi FH - It didn't seem like it....but in retrospect, we sure did.

Hi Howie - It was without a doubt one of my top 5 most interesting meals.

Hi Ed - If you visited Laos...you probably never leave.

Hi CC - They call it something like forest rat....

Hi Dennis - Thanks, I'm trying to get my act together.

Hi Marie - We really felt sad leaving Luang Prabang.

Hi Logovo - Thanks, it's always nice to get back home.

Hi Cathy - Thanks for the usual outstanding help.....I guess I'll take the Mister's advice.

Hi Carol - I love that phrase, "back to normal, sort of", so approrpiate.

Hi Tammy - I missed you guys as well. You need to check out Laos, you'd love it.

Hi WC - It's great to be back. I hope you get to visit Laos soon...it is still unspoiled, and we fear things may change.

Hi Su-Lin - It's stuffed lemongrass...I'll do a recipe soon. I hope I can duplicate my efforts.

nhbilly

sharon

Love the photos! Welcome home! I've only made a quick pitstop through Thailand and I'd love to visit again. If I can go, I'll definitely come back to this post!

Rachel

Welcome back! Thanks for giving us a whirlwind taste of your trip. look forward to whatever you might share with us in future posts :)

Kirk

Hi Billy - Nice to hear from you...hopefully, I'll be able to do some interesting posts.

Hi Sharon - Thanks!

Hi Stephen - That red hairy thing is a fruit...it is very good...tangy and sweet, with a bit of a tannic sensation.

Hi Rachel - Thanks, it's good to be back.
