Sounds like a lovely day. I love walking through markets in unfamiliar countries. Those passionfruit look great!

Carol

I love wander through local markets on vacation. And those granadillas do look delicious. Glad you were able to stay an extra day. There just never seems to be enough time to do everything on vacation, that is unless the plan is to do nothing. ;-)

This can't be the end of it?

Kirk

Hi Howie - The granadilla is not as sweet as the passion fruit I'm used to. You always get such a good feel for the people by visiting the local markets.

Hi Carol - That extra day made all the difference for us.

Hi YY - Really? Well, I can't wait to visit!

Hi Sandy - Thanks......maybe you'll think about visiting?

Hi Billy - Not by a longshot...unless you want it to be! It gets even better.....

Captain Jack

The Mercado looks awesome Kirk. Bourdain may have no reservations, but he did have a guide, which you clearly did not need. Kudos.

elmomonster

That's hilarious about the episode with Dylan. Hilarious and surreal!

Kirk

Hi CJ - Thanks....no guide needed for Mercado Central, lots of tgood eats.

Hi Elmo - That was very funny. I wish I took a photo from our room.

Reid

Kirk,

All I can say is WOW!

Christine D.

Another wonderful post! I'm back in town from a cruise to Mexico, but my mere 2 days on land pales in comparison to your South American trip!

Kirk

Hi Reid - This was a fun excursion.

Hi Christine - Welcome back! I was wondering what was up with you.

Chubbypanda

Ooooh... Awesome market. I wanna go!

Kirk

Hi CP - Man, you'd love it.....
