reynila

Cool post Cathy! I never heard of this place, now I've got to try it!

Cathy

I seem to get stuck at the light at Worthington on PVR every time I take that exit off the 54, Reynila. I would think others have to stop there also, but I do always seem to be the only car. Anyhow, Leocynn's is teensy, limited and great! I am sure you'll like it.

nhbilly

looks like a typical vietnamese rice and boiled chicken dish with gigner fish sauce.

Cathy

Oh, no Bill- its way Filipino. The chicken adobo has a vinegar base and the pancit is made with rice noodles and just...differnt. Lumpia are not the same as spring rolls, skinnier, mostly meat and different spices. I need to be more specific in my descriptions. If you had them side by side, you'd know the difference. I will work on using the Thesaurus. :)

mizducky

Looks yummy! Reminds me I need another Filipino food hit some day real soon now...
:-)

Cathy

Hi MizD- It is excellent and was very fresh when I went in (after the lunch rush). I have a few other Filipino places to blog about also, but this one is the most "Mom and Pop" place.

Airrion

I have always wanted to try this place out. One thing always stops me, it is located next to a Animal Hospital!

Cathy

Hello and welcome, Airrion- Don't be afraid! Leocynn's was there (and had the same excellent food) before the Animal Hospital moved in. The food is very good.

NIKKI ARNOLD

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST HANDS DOWN! NO OTHER LIKE IT IN SAN DIEGO...AND I'M A BLACK WOMAN WHO IS VERY CRITICAL ON WHERE AND WHAT I EAT. LEOCYNNS'S RAH! RAH! RAH!
