Miss Vicky

looks yummy! :)

Captain Jack

I have always wondered about that place when I visited the market. It sounds pretty damn good.

Yumm, California rolls made with real crab is unbelievable YUMMY!
Talk about a nice and savory find.

Hi Miss Vicky! I'd let you know if it wasn't good, believe me...
CJ-Yes, stop, order either to eat there or take home, since you are there is darn good.
Bill- yes...oh yes, yes!

whoa--you remember Woo Chee Chongs?! Are you a SD native, too? I want to say that they had a store in Chula Vista, too. If we didn't go to WCC, we'd have to make a monthly trek to LA Chinatown to buy duck, char siu, li hing plums, etc. And of course we'd have dim sum at Golden Dragon. That was thee place. Thank goodness we can get all of that stuff locally now. But back in the day...

The food looks great..I've got it on my list to visit soon.

Yup! There was a Woo Chee Chong in Chula Vista on Third Avenue close to Orange Avenue. Now it's a Mexican "International Market" that serves whole grilled chicken outside in the parking lot. And lots of street tacos.

I miss Woo Chee Chong!!!

Hi Toisan...Nope, I came out here with The Mister when he was transferred and stationed here...way back when Miramar was run by the Navy and not the Marines. There was a Woo Chee Chong downtown also...three locations. It was the first Asian Market I had ever gone to, growing up in Detroit and all...but I did manage to find the "Chinese Noodle Factory" when we lived in Norfolk. 50¢ a pound for a brown paper bag of fresh made noodles.
You have the location right, 26 chickys...and I like those tacos inside the market...

Lookin' good, Cathy.

Thanks, CP. I see you've been a 'little busy' at work. I understand...
