Hi nhbilly- Since it was a fairly popular Thai buffet, the owners knew to keep it. Having Japanese and sushi in Santee is filling a need- we are a way 'bedroom' community to San Diego but rapidly growing. The food here is excellent and has withstood the time test. If for some reason you are heading south, it is basically all freeways to get here now.

That's weird! I've not seen that anywhere! But why not? If the food is good, I wouldn't mind seeing a Chinese/Mexican place

Hey Elmo and NH...I know of quite a few Mexican/Greek-Med places... and of course all of the Chinese/donut places...but Chinese/Mexican...I have a new quest!

Hi Cathy - Now I've heard of, but not had Mexicali-style Chinese. I'm going to get some with Ed, next time in Yuma.

Kirk..I was thinking more Mexican and Chinese, which I doubt exists under one roof...the Mexican cusine has lots of cheese in it and Chinese cuisine doesn't have any cheese in it. Mexicali Chinese...yep, sounds like justification for a road trip!

Scott- Thanks *so* much for taking the time to comment(and to make it a nice one). I can see stats on how many people view, and also proportionally that hardly anyone comments, so you are rare. I do like this blogging thing, but kind of would like to go to a favorite place twice in a week if I have a kind of craving, without thinking about boring people with my way of eating...then again, some people might find it kind of interesting. For now, I like being a "Temp". We will see what the future holds.
