Trieu Chau is the Vietnamese word for the Chinese ethnic group that immigrated to Southeast Asia, the Teochew or Dijou. A lot of them went to Cambodia and Vietnam hence why they have Cambodian and Vietnamese food in their cuisine. They are responsible for the Chinese-Cambodian noodle soup called Kahtieu-Phnom Penh or also called in the Viet language Hu Tieu Nam Vang.
